Whitby

Whitby is one of England's most characterful towns.

We arrive in Whitby next to the Abbey and the church of St. Mary, whose churchyard on Whitby’s East Cliff gave Bram Stoker the inspiration to write his classic horror novel, Dracula. Then we walk down the 199 steps into the old town, with its bustling streets full of unusual shops. We can try some of the best fish and chips in England near the harbour, or visit the museum which is full of curiosities brought back by Whitby’s seafaring men over the centuries.
